Minister of Public Health HE Dr Hanan al Kuwari inaugurated Rawdat Al Khail Health Center in presence of Managing Director of Primary Health Care Corporation (PHCC) Dr Mariam Abdulmalik and a number of staff in the health sector.
The minister stressed that the ministry's programmes include many construction and development projects for continuance development of primary health care in Qatar by building new health centres and renovating the existing ones.
She pointed out that the centre is equipped with all the requirements that will enable it provide a distinct level of health and medical services.
She added that the new health centre is part of an ambitious strategy seeking to promote public health and raise the quality and efficiency of health services, according to the latest global systems.
The minister later toured the new complex and listened to a brief explanation about the services the health centre provides to patients, which include public clinics, vaccination clinic, non-communicable diseases clinics, laboratory, pharmacy, radiology, dental clinic, medical commission and other new services such as ophthalmology, dermatology, mental health and health and wellness services.
Dr Kuwari congratulated the people on the opening of the health centre and thanked Asghal which has built the complex.
On her part, Dr Abdulmalik said Rawdat Al Khail Health Center is an achievement for the PHCC to improve healthcare services provided to citizens and residents according to international medical standards.
She added that the health centre focuses on helping people to live healthy life style, adding that the centre also provides physiotherapy sessions, food consulting and lessons of healthy cooking and health promotion, among other services.
Manager of Rawdat Al Khail Health Center Dr Abdullah al Naimi said,"The health centre uses the Electronic Files System CIS from the first day of its opening and offers the services through appointment system."
Dr Abdulla said that the centre includes a medical team of up to 39 doctors, 85 nurses and 38 administrative staff with a capacity of up to 150,000 patients, adding that the centre will cover other areas such as Farej Abdul Aziz, Farej Bin Mahmoud, Al Najma, Al Mansourh.
The centre opens from 7am to 11pm daily.
