Qatar chaired the second meeting at the level of Arab ministers concerned with disaster risk reduction that was held at the headquarters of Arab League in Cairo on Wednesday. Chaired by Assistant Undersecretary for Technical and Specialised Affairs at the Ministry of Interior HE Staff Major General Abdullah bin Mohammed Al Suwaidi, the meeting discussed the draft decisions of the sixth meeting of the Arab Coordination Mechanism for Disaster Risk Reduction, held on August 18, 2024. The slogan for the Arab Disaster Risk Reduction Day 2025, ‘A Resilient Arab Society in the Face of Disasters’, proposed by Qatar’s National Focal Point during the session, was also approved.
