DOHA: From August 28 (Wednesday) 'Metroexpress' services will have expanded coverage within Lusail, including Al Maha Island, Mowasalat Qatar announced.
The passengers can download the Karwa Taxi App and easily book their ride by selecting the 'Metroexpress' tab, the company said in a social media post.They need to specify the number of passengers travelling.
They can request a ride and wait for it to arrive at the designated pick-up point to use the free service, available only when using Doha Metro and Lusain Tram.
The free ride-sharing service provides quick and convenient access to metro stations.
The designated application places seats in a single vehicle for multiple passengers travelling to one destination and through software connected to a navigation system that directs the driver of the vehicle to reach the passengers at the desired time and place, walking the shortest possible route.
This service is provided strictly for Doha Metro customers registered with Qatar Rail and is to be used only in conjunction with a Metro journey.
This service will reduce the number of private cars, reduce parking problems, and reduce wasting time on the roads.
