Under the patronage and presence of Minister of Social Development and Family HE Maryam bint Ali bin Nasser Al-Misnad, the Orphan Care Centre (Dreama) celebrated two significant occasions through an event that included an honours ceremony for outstanding and distinguished children, along with an accompanying art exhibition under the slogan ‘Anticipating Every Success to Come’. The event took place at Hazm Mall, and the accompanying art exhibition will continue for five days. The ceremony was attended by several distinguished ministers, ambassadors, executive directors of the Social Work Foundation centres, and the supporting partners.

This ceremony is a special occasion to celebrate the students’ successful completion of the 2023-2024 academic year. The centre honoured the outstanding children in recognition of their academic achievements and excellence in extracurricular activities, such as Holy Quran memorisation, sports, and other activities that contributed to the development of their skills and personalities. On this occasion, Sheikha Najla bint Ahmed Al Thani, the executive director of the Orphan Care Centre (Dreama), expressed her pride in “20 years of giving and excellence in caring for our dear children”. She affirmed that “this ceremony is a testament to the ongoing efforts made by our children to achieve success and distinction in various fields”. She extended her gratitude to all the supporters and organisers of this ceremony, who contributed their efforts to make this event successful and this moment possible. She emphasised that “by working together, we continue to build a bright future for our children”.

The accompanying art exhibition is being held to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the establishment of Dreama Centre. Local artists and students from Qatar’s schools are participating in the exhibition, showcasing their artworks to support Dreama’s children. The exhibition aims to bring smiles to the faces of children and foster families and to promote the concept of family and foster care, which provides a safe and nurturing environment for growth and development. In this context, the executive director of Dreama stated, “Our children are our future, and at Dreama, we believe that every child holds within them the seed of excellence. Today, we celebrate their remarkable achievements and strive to enhance a culture of excellence in their lives. I encourage every son and daughter to continue pursuing their dreams, for the future is full of opportunities for those who prepare for it with determination and dedication.”

She added, “The art exhibition will continue for five days at Hazm Mall, and we expect it to have a significant impact on the community. Through the participation of artists and school students, we aim to enhance communication and interaction among community members and light the paths of hope in the hearts of children and foster families.”

This event is expected to attract many visitors from various segments of society, reflecting Dreama Centre’s commitment to fulfilling its vision of empowering orphans and providing the necessary support for them to achieve their full potential.
