DOHA: Minister of Endowments and Islamic Affairs HEGhanem bin Shaheen Al Ghanim laid the foundation stone for three endowment projects: Jabal Thuaileb in Lusail, Al Maamoura, and Abu Hamour.

The minister reviewed information about the three projects in a multi-dimensional interactive experience, during the celebration organized by the General Directorate of Endowments, in the presence of Minister of Municipality HE Abdullah bin Hamad bin Abdullah Al Attiyah, and Deputy Speaker of the Shura Council HEHamda bint Hassan Al Sulaiti.

The largest projectis the Jabal Thuaileb Waqf project in Lusail City, which is the largest Waqf project in the country, as it includes 25 residential buildings with 881 diverse apartments, in addition to social and recreational facilities including an integrated club, a centre for teaching the Holy Quran, and a mosque.

The project is considered a pioneering step towards achieving the ministry’s goals of supporting religious and social values ​​in society. The second project is located on Haloul Street in the Maamoura area and consists of an administrative office building and a residential complex.

The administrative building occupies 30 percentof the land area, and includes three floors and a basement with 99 parking spaces. The residential section occupies 70 percentof the land, and includes 20 villas with various designs, in addition to a recreational and health club that includes a swimming pool and a celebration hall.

The design combines traditional and modern Qatari styles. The total built-up area of ​​the project is 12,570 square meters, making it an integrated environment for work and living.

The third project is located in Abu Hamour on Central Market Street, and extends over an area of ​​11,977 square meters, with a total area of ​​14,650 square meters. The project is characterized by a modern design and advanced infrastructure, making it an important addition to the real estate scene.

The project includes 43 shops, two showrooms, and 89 administrative offices distributed between the mezzanine and first floors. It contains 187 parking spaces and service facilities in the basement. It provides an integrated and diverse work environment that meets the needs of small and large companies and is a business centre that contributes to enhancing economic growth and urban development in the region.

Strengthening the investment endowment

In this context, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs HE Sheikh Dr Khalid bin Mohammed bin Ghanem Al Thani, said that the three projects reflect the commitment of the General Administration of Endowments to developing endowment projects and fulfilling the conditions of the donors, which contributes to enhancing societal and economic values.

He added that the Jabal Thuaileb project aims to strengthen the investment endowment and achieve sustainable development by providing an integrated residential environment. The Maamoura project combines an administrative building and a residential complex, which reflects the role of the endowment in providing integrated environments that combine work and housing, and contribute to improving the quality of life, stressing that the Abu Hamour project enhances commercial and administrative activity in the region, contributes to creating new job opportunities, and supports the local economy.

Dr Khalid Al Thani stressed that endowments play a vital role in supporting sustainable development, as the returns of these projects are directed to fulfilling the conditions of the donors to meet the needs of society and enhance economic stability, explaining that the role of the endowment is not limited to the economic aspect only, but extends to play a vital role in enhancing social values ​​and supporting various governmental and civil institutions.

The largest endowment project in the country is located in the modern city of Lusail. The project includes 28 plots of land, including 25 residential buildings, with 881 diverse apartments to meet the needs of different segments of society.

The project also includes a commercial, social and recreational club, and includes sports and health facilities such as squash courts, and indoor and outdoor swimming pools. In addition, the project includes a kindergarten, a wedding hall, a mosque, and a centre for teaching the Holy Quran to female students.

The residential land area is 68,999 square meters, while the built-up area reaches 192,575 square meters, with sufficient parking spaces to ensure the comfort of residents.

The architectural design of the project is characterized by a classic style mixed with modern touches, with colours that blend with the surrounding environment. The Jabal Thuaileb project represents an important step towards strengthening the role of endowments in Qatari society and reflects the Ministry’s vision to improve the quality of life and provide an integrated residential and social environment that combines religious, social and recreational aspects.

The Waqf Al Maamoura project consists of two main sections: an administrative office building directly overlooking the street, and a residential complex located behind the administrative building. The total area of ​​the project land is 11,191 square meters. Theadministrative building consists of a basement and three floors. The basement, with an area of ​​2,662 square meters, includes the building’s services and provides 99 parking spaces for tenants. The ground floor extends over an area of ​​1,663 square meters and includes the reception area and two shops, in addition to 10 administrative offices. The repeated floors, the first and second, include 13 administrative offices on each floor.

The residential section consists of 20 residential villas with various designs, with a ground floor, first floor, and roof floor. Of these villas, 18 are connected with a built-up area of ​​approximately 290 square meters for each villa, and two separate villas with an area of ​​470 square meters each.

As an important part of the project, there is a recreational club that includes an outdoor swimming pool and a waterfall that flows from the first floor of the club directly into the pool, in addition to a lounge section and a celebration hall. The total built-up area of ​​the residential section is 6,865 square meters.

The project’s facades are designed to reflect the contemporary Qatari style, which is characterised by the integration of traditional design elements such as mashrabiyas and arches with modern and attractive touches. The balance between the traditional and the modern gives the project a unique architectural identity and special appeal, and offers a unique living and working experience, taking into account all aspects of comfort, luxury and efficiency.

Modern design and advanced structure

The Abu Hamour Waqf project extends over an area of ​​11,977 square meters and is characterized by a modern design and advanced infrastructure, making it a valuable addition to the real estate landscape. The ground floor includes 43 shops with an area of ​​approximately 50 square meters each, equipped with full services and a circular staircase connecting them to the mezzanine floor, in addition to 187 parking spaces.

The floor also includes two showrooms with an area of ​​more than 100 square meters each and 21 small administrative offices with an area of ​​55 square meters. The mezzanine floor includes 22 administrative offices with areas ranging from 65 to 130 square meters, while the first floor includes 46 administrative offices with areas ranging from 76 to 168 square meters, designed to meet the needs of different companies.

The project is an example of real estate development, as it combines shops, showrooms, and administrative offices with a total area of ​​14,650 square meters. It also features a vertical transportation system that includes 4 elevators and 4 stairs, ensuring smooth movement between floors.

The project reflects a comprehensive vision of providing integrated real estate solutions that combine diverse functions and advanced urban design.

Community partnership

The General Administration of Endowments stressed that endowment work is a community partnership and an ongoing charity, which makes a person’s scales heavier in his life and after his death, as the Prophet - may God bless him and grant him peace - said: When a person dies, his deeds come to an end except for three: an ongoing charity, beneficial knowledge, or a righteous child who prays for him.
