The Ministry of Education and Higher Education (MoEHE) concluded the induction programme for 410 newly recruited teachers on Thursday. These teachers will serve in various specialisations across government schools in Qatar.

The induction programme was designed to help integrate these teachers into the educational environment and familiarise them with the work setting, particularly the systems, regulations, policies and laws governing government schools. Additionally, it introduced them to the ministry’s vision, mission, and their specific roles and responsibilities.

The ‘Tamkeen’ programme, which commenced on August 21, featured a series of training workshops aimed at enhancing the capabilities and skills of the new teachers. These workshops focused on planning, enabling the teachers to develop effective and systematic study plans, and modern teaching and educational strategies. The goal was to improve their teaching methods, making them more interactive and comprehensive. Furthermore, the programme emphasised the effective use of educational technology in classrooms and provided an introduction to the learning management system utilized by the ministry.

The programme also included an overview of the organisational structure of the MoEHE, outlining its tasks and responsibilities. This session was presented by Noura Al Yafei, a Training and Capacity Development Specialist at the Training and Development Center. Additionally, Abdullah Al Ammari from the MoEHE Human Resources Department reviewed the job system, code of conduct, policies and work regulations.

At the programme’s conclusion, Iman Al Mohannadi, director of the Training and Development Center at the ministry, welcomed the new teachers and wished them success in their careers. She expressed confidence that they would significantly contribute to the education system and improve its outcomes. Al Mohannadi also stressed the center’s commitment to providing the new teachers with the necessary skills through a specialised training programme tailored to their career paths.

The training and empowerment of these new teachers will continue throughout their first year in government schools, following the plans laid out for them. Additionally, the Training and Development Center will guide them through a structured training path during their tenure.
