Nasser Bin Khaled and Sons Automobiles, the authorized general distributor of Mercedes-Benz in Qatar, hosted Qatari Olympic champion Mutaz Barshim to celebrate his outstanding achievements, the latest of which was his success in the Paris 2024 Olympics, where he won the bronze medal.
The appreciation event was attended by HE Sheikh Nasser Nawaf Al Thani, Gary Pike, General Manager of NBK Automobiles, Ahmed Azmy Group Marketing & Communications Manager at Nasser Bin Khaled & Sons Holding, alongside special invitees and representatives of media. During the event, the Qatari Olympic Champion signed a collection of Mercedes-Benz branded accessories to the attendees.
This event is in line with Nasser Bin Khaled and Sons Automobiles’ strategy to support the Qatari champions in several fields of sports. In this regard, the Qatari Olympic champion Mutaz Barshim has been the Nasser Bin Khaled and Sons Automobiles’ ambassador and the face of the company in Qatar.
His Excellency Sheikh Faleh bin Nawaf Al Thani, Managing Director of the Automotive sector at Nasser Bin Khaled Group, commented: “We extend our sincere congratulations to HE Sheikh Joaan bin Hamad Al Thani, President of the Qatari Olympic Committee, for his unwavering support to the sports in Qatar, and to Qatari Olympic champion Mutaz Barshim and wish him continued success.”

Mutaz Barshim is one of the most illustrious Olympic champions in the world. His most recent medal haul came at the Paris 2024 Olympics. Not to be overlooked is the incredible feat of winning the gold medal at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics, which was preceded by his silver medal at the Rio 2016 Olympics in addition to numerous major international titles.
