“Wag ka nang mawala,” (Don’t get lost)! – Buckle up as the much-awaited Filipino concert of the year is happening soon and it promises to beat the summer heat by bringing not just one, but two sensational Filipino bands – featuring Mayonnaise and Rouge – together on one stage.

Mayonnaise, an all-male Filipino band, and Rouge, an all-female Filipina ensemble, both renowned for their Original Pinoy Music (OPM) hits, will rock the Doha stage on September 13, in a one-night-only concert at Holiday Inn Doha – The Business Park, an IHG Hotel.

“Who doesn’t know the viral song ‘Jopay,’ which recently saw a revival in TikTok?” The track resonated with millions worldwide, and the Pinoy band Mayonnaise was behind its amazing tune.

Who can also forget the all-Filipina band that captivated the hearts of many during Pilipinas Got Talent Season 5? Their eclectic, soulful, and energy-infused performances make Rouge band a force to be reckoned with in the local music scene.

The concert, originally scheduled for June 14, has been rescheduled to this month following some adjustments.

Will Mayonnaise disclose the answers to their song “Bakit” (Why) and will Rouge show Doha fans how “Hanep!” (Amazing) their Wish 107.5 Alternative Song of the Year smash hit would be?

Filipino fans in Qatar are in for more surprises, but for now, the concert producers announced the following event details during the press conference on August 31 at Yam’s Catering, Chairmen Hotel:

Filipino, Filipina Music Fusion

Known for their high-energy performances and infectious hits, Mayonnaise – a household name in the Filipino alternative rock scene – will be headlining the event. Celebrated for iconic OPM tracks, the band promises to deliver their signature sound and captivating stage presence.

Adding to the excitement, Rouge Band, an emerging all-female rock group, will infuse the night with their vibrant energy, ensuring an unforgettable experience for fans. This concert is poised to be a major highlight on the local music calendar, featuring top Filipino rock talent.

In addition, SoUnDz of Era, a prominent local Filipino band based in Qatar, will be performing live alongside DJ Kat Jimenez.

The event is set to draw a huge crowd, as both acts are highly sought after by Filipino communities worldwide.

Mayo Nation

Mayonnaise has been a cornerstone of the Philippine music scene, building a vast fan base over their 20 years in the industry.

The seasoned five-member alt-rock band features Monty Macalino as guitarist and vocalist, Shan Regalado on drums, Carlo Servano on guitar, Nikki Tirona on bass, and Keano Swing on guitar.

Acclaimed for their win at the “Muziklaban” battle of the bands in 2004, the band has racked up 93.8 million streams on Spotify, 9.2 million listeners, and a global reach spanning over 180 countries.

Rouge Girl Power

Formed in 2013,Rouge consists of four talented Filipinas: Kara Mendez (bassist and group leader), Princess Ybañez (violinist), Jeri Oro (co-founding guitarist and vocalist), and Gyan Murriel (vocalist and drummer).

This all-female band plays tracks from the 80s to contemporary hits by both local and international artists.

The group has also earned a spot in the Top 20 OPM bands with the most fan page likes.

Catch them live in Doha soon! Gates open at 4pm, main show at 7pm, and SoUnDz of Era performs at 6pm.
