In a significant show of commitment to youth empowerment, Qatar’s Ministry of Sports and Youth played a central role at the high-level International Forum on Youth, Peace and Security, held in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.

The Qatari delegation was led by Abdulrahman bin Muslim Al-Dosari, advisor to the Minister of Sports and Youth.

This influential forum also included a special session of the Council of Arab Ministers of Youth and Sports, providing a crucial platform for discussing the future role of Arab youth in peacebuilding and security.

A key moment of the forum was the introduction of the Arab Strategy for Youth, Peace and Security 2023-2028. This forward-looking strategy aims to actualise the ambitious goals of the Youth, Peace and Security agenda as outlined in United Nations Security Council Resolutions 2250, 2419 and 2535.

The strategy is more than a plan—it is a powerful call to action intended to elevate the voices of Arab youth, empower them in decision-making processes, and ensure their active participation in political and economic spheres.

The strategy provides a comprehensive roadmap, offering both direction and inspiration for Arab nations as they work to integrate youth into the heart of peace and security efforts. It underscores the essential role of young people in shaping a peaceful and prosperous future for the region. By promoting regional cooperation and enhancing youth engagement, the strategy envisions a future where Arab youth are not only participants but also leaders in driving social change, economic stability, and overall development.

This forum was more than just a meeting; it was a celebration of the potential and power of youth in the Arab world. It highlighted Qatar’s steadfast commitment to nurturing the next generation of leaders who will champion peace and security across the region.
