His Highness the Amir of the State of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani attended the dinner banquet hosted by Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Sweden HE Ulf Kristersson, in honour of His Highness and the accompanying delegation at the Prime Minister’s residence ‘Sager House’ in Stockholm on Monday.
The banquet was attended by HRH Crown Princess Victoria of the Kingdom of Sweden and Speaker of the Parliament of Sweden (Riksdag) HE Andreas Norlen.
The banquet was also attended by a number of members of the official delegation accompanying HH the Amir. From the Swedish side, it was attended by a number of ministers and ranking officials.
Earlier in the day, HH the Amir arrived in Stockholm, on an official visit to the Kingdom of Sweden, on Monday.
HH the Amir was welcomed upon arrival at Stockholm Arlanda Airport, along with his accompanying delegation, by Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Sweden HE Tobias Billstrom, Ambassador of the State of Qatar to the Kingdom of Sweden HE Nadia bint Ahmad Al Sheebi, Ambassador of Sweden to the State of Qatar HE Gautam Bhattacharyya, and the Qatari embassy staff.
During the visit, HH the Amir will meet with HM King Carl XVI Gustaf of the Kingdom of Sweden and Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Sweden HE Ulf Kristersson, to discuss developing and strengthening relations between the two countries in various fields in a manner that serves the mutual interests and aspirations of the two countries and peoples. The discussions will also include several international issues and topics of mutual interest.
