STOCKHOLM: His Highness the Amir of the State of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani and Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Sweden HE Ulf Kristersson held an official session of talks at the Prime Minister's Office Rosenbäde in the capital Stockholm.

The Swedish prime minister welcomed His Highness the Amir and the accompanying delegation, wishing him a pleasant stay and further development and growth in the relations between the two countries in various fields.

For his part, His Highness the Amir expressed his thanks to the prime minister for the warm reception, stressing his keenness to strengthen and develop friendly relations and cooperation with Sweden in various fields to achieve the interests of the two friendly countries and peoples.

During the session, they discussed relations between the two countries and ways to develop them, especially in the fields of investment, economy, energy and international cooperation, in addition to regional and international developments, especially developments in the Gaza Strip and the occupied Palestinian territories, and exchanged views on several issues of common interest.

The session was attended by Chief of the Amiri Diwan HE Sheikh Saud bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, Minister of State for Energy Affairs HE Saad bin Sherida Al Kaabi, Minister of Commerce and Industry HE Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Qassim Al Thani, Minister of State for International Cooperation at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs HE Lolwah bint Rashid Al Khater, and members of the official delegation accompanying His Highness the Amir.

The Swedish side was attended by Minister for Foreign Affairs Tobias Billström, Minister of Defense HE Pal Jonsson, Minister for International Development Cooperation and Foreign Trade HE Johan Forssell, Minister for Social Services HE Camilla Grönvall, and senior officials.
