Renowned town planner of Pakistan and former advisor to the United Nations Muhammad Aslam Mughal sent a gift of his newly published book in Urdu language titled ‘Tayri Khaak Mein Hai Agar Sharar’ for Pak Shama School Qatar (PSS-Q) library.

The book was presented by General Secretary of Pakistan Arts Society–Qatar (PAS-Q) Adeel Akbar to the president of School Management Committee M A Shahid, in the presence of Pak Shama School Principal Nabila Kaukab and senior faculty members,

Originally written in English with the title ‘Daska to United Nations’, this book is a biography as well as travelogue of Aslam Mughal. His major notable works include the re-planning of areas around the Masjid al-Haram in Makkah Al-Mukarramah, Saudi Arabia. He completed this project in 17 years.

Aslam Mughal also designed the Gulshan-e-Iqbal Park, the Race Course Park,

and the refreshing tree-lined beautiful Lahore Canal in Lahore.

‘Daska to United Nations’ has been translated from English to Urdu by one of Aslam Mughal’s close friends, Saeed Javed, who is the author of five bestselling publications.

"This is not just a word-to-word translation from English; it carries the essence of the thoughts and ideas presented by the author in original manuscript. It describes the historical events of the countries visited by Aslam Mughal during his journey of life. It is highly informative and educative and provides an incentive to the readers to adopt normative values and resort to sustained arduous work to achieve their desired targets in life successively,” remarked Adeel.

"I am lucky to have met with Aslam Mughal thrice during my recent visit to Pakistan. I briefed him about the long journey of the academic success and extracurricular achievements of Pak Shamaa School Qatar (PSS-Q), the oldest expatriate school in Qatar. I strongly feel that such autobiographies should be included in the libraries of educational institutions and made widely available especially to students,” noted Adeel.
