DOHA: The Ministry of Education and Higher Education, in cooperation with the Doha International Family Institute of Qatar Foundation, has held the first meeting of the 'Tansee’a'programme for the year 2024-2025.
The meeting, which was attended by more than 300 government school principals, social workers, psychologists, and partners, aimed to introduce the 'Tansee’a'programme, which aims to support the well-being of adolescents by implementing an intervention programme that enhances prevention factors and combats risk factors that affect children’s behavior, habits, and intellectual orientations.
The programme will be implemented by applying a pre-questionnaire at the beginning of the school year, which will include constructive preventive programs, and a post-questionnaire will be applied to measure the effectiveness of the intervention programs on students at the end of the school year.
The meeting was opened by Assistant Director of Schools and Students Affairs Department at the Ministry of Education and Higher EducationFatima Yousef Al Obaidli, , with a speech in which she explained that the aim of holding the meeting is to complete the implementation of the 'Tansee’a'programme plan, which is the result of joint cooperation between the Ministry of Education and the Doha International Family Institute; as an initiative of the National Framework for Promoting Good Moral Values.
It is an intervention programme that aims to protect young people from behavioral deviations in middle and high schools by strengthening the integrated social structure of our children at this important age stage.
On the other hand, Executive Director of the Doha International Family Institute Dr Sharifa Noaman Al-Emadi, , gave a presentation to introduce the 'Tansee’a'programme and its objectives, and to emphasize the constructive role of the family in education through developing communication skills and highlighting positive role models.
Director of the Family Research and Policy Department at the Doha International Family Institute Dr Khaled Jamal Al-Naama,also presented a complement to the presentation on the introduction to the 'Tansee’a'programme, emphasizing the role of the family as the first nucleus in building children’s personalities and shaping their intellectual and behavioral orientations.
The meeting also witnessed a review of the executive plan for the 'Tansee’a'programme for the year 2024-2025, presented by Family Research and Policy Officer at the Doha International Family InstituteIbtisam Ayoub.
It is noteworthy that an introductory workshop will be organised for social and psychological specialists in government schools for parents of students to raise their awareness of the 'Tansee’a'programme. At the end of the 2024-2025 academic year, a post-questionnaire will be applied to measure the effectiveness of the intervention program on students in schools.
