DOHA: The eighth edition of the Katara International Hunting and Falcons Exhibition (S'hail 2024) will kick off on Tuesday.

It will continue until September 14, amid wide local, regional and international participation from 19 countries from around the world, and 166 major companies specialised in selling the latest hunting weapons, falconry, camping, desert trips and hunting supplies, including a group of exhibitors participating for the first time in the exhibition, especially from China and European countries.

He noted that the eighth edition of the exhibition will offer a wide range of new opportunities, amazing shows and modern innovations in the field of hunting weapons and rifles, falconry supplies, hunting and desert trip equipment, in addition to a variety of competitions, events and cultural and artistic activities that celebrate the heritage of hunting and falconry.

He noted that the Suhail Falcon Auction will, as usual, be the jewel of the exhibition, as it displays the finest and rarest types of falcons, in addition to the strong turnout, competition and excitement it witnesses among falconry enthusiasts, as it can be participated in via the exhibition’s electronic application.

He explained that this year the organising committee has selected a group of large local, Arab and international companies that are pioneers in the field of hunting weapons, sniping, trips and their accessories, which offer modern and diverse products of high quality and competitive prices, noting that the exhibition will present accompanying live and interactive cultural and artistic events and activities, such as free drawing in which a group of visual artists will participate, in addition to holding a series of scientific seminars, lectures and poetry evenings.

The exhibition director pointed out that in this year’s edition, the organising committee set up a special tent on the southern side of Katara to receive weapons, hunting rifles and ammunition, according to procedures characterised by ease, simplicity and smoothness, in addition to the presence of many workshops and shops for crafts and handicrafts in which hunting and falconry tools and supplies are made, as these pavilions provide the latest innovations that falconers and hunting and falconry enthusiasts need while practising their favourite hobby.

Al Sayed concluded his statement by saying that the exhibition will also witness distinguished participation of national and international companies that display their latest products of accessories, supplies and equipment for used four-wheel drive vehicles and the most luxurious types of caravans used in desert and hunting trips, by introducing the latest technologies, innovations and products that hunting and falconry enthusiasts need for trips and camping, according to the highest protection specifications and security and safety requirements.

This isin addition to the participation of ministries and official institutions such as the Ministry of Interior, the Ministry of Municipality, the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change and the Ministry of Communications, through distinguished pavilions that provide all services and facilities to the public and visitors, noting the participation of veterinary clinics and pharmacies for falcons and birds that provide a series of medical and laboratory services in addition to examinations and guidance information about birds, in addition to providing medicines and treatment prescriptions.

It is worth noting that the eighth edition of the Katara International Hunting and Falcons Exhibition is held in partnership with several national sponsoring companies, including the Social and Sports Activities Support Fund 'Daam' as a strategic partner, in addition to the participation of Qatar Insurance Group, as the official insurance sponsor of the exhibition, as well as Al Kass Sports Channels, the media broadcaster.
