The Indian Cultural Centre (ICC), under the aegis of the Embassy of India, hosted a grand felicitation ceremony on the eve of Teachers’ Day to honour 46 long-serving teachers nominated by 17 CBSE schools in Qatar. The event took place at the ICC Ashoka Hall, reflecting the significance of recognising the invaluable contribution of educators in shaping the future generation.

The event was graced by Deputy Chief of Mission at the Embassy of India Sandeep Kumar, who commended the teachers for their dedicated service and commitment. The ceremony saw an enthusiastic turnout, with school principals, teachers, students, and parents coming together to celebrate the pivotal role of teachers in education.

The programme began with a warm welcome by ICC General Secretary Mohan Kumar, who expressed gratitude to the teachers for their tireless efforts in nurturing young minds. Shantanu Deshpande, head of school activities at ICC, elaborated on the concept behind the programme, emphasising the importance of recognizing the dedication of educators who have significantly contributed to student success over the years.

ICC President AP Manikantan highlighted the crucial role of teachers in shaping students’ futures and the success stories that emerge from their hard work and guidance.
