Al Sadd Club on Monday announced the signing of Algerian international defender Youcef Atal from Turkish club Adana Demirspor and Spanish striker Cristo Gonzalez from Portuguese club Arouca. The club stated that the right-back of the Algerian national team, Atal, 28, has officially signed a contract to join the team until the summer of 2026, alongside the Spanish striker, Cristo Gonzalez, 26, for four seasons. Atal is currently with the Algerian national team in Monrovia, preparing to face Liberia on Tuesday in the second round of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers. Spanish striker Gonzalez has several previous experiences with the Italian club Udinese, Sporting Gijon, Valladolid and Real Madrid’s youth team in Spain. (QNA)
