MoECC urges people to follow instructions in hunting migratory birds

DOHA: The migratory bird hunting season 'Lofo' is from September 1 until February 15, the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change (MoECC) has said.

In a social media post, MoECC urged people to follow the instructions for hunting migratory birds during this period.

"Also, commit to hunting the Houbara bustard with 'falcons only', and stay away from other hunting methods, to ensure the preservation of the environment and its biodiversity," the ministry said.

"With your commitment, we will preserve our environment and ensure the sustainability of hunting seasons in the coming years."
