DOHA: Minister of Interior and Commander of the Internal Security Force (Lekhwiya) HE Sheikh Khalifa bin Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani has held official talks with Minister of Interior of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia HRH Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Nayef bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, at his office in the Ministry of Interior.
During the talks, the two sides discussed several topics of mutual interest and explored ways to strengthen and enhance security cooperation between the two sisterly nations.
At the outset, the Minister of Interior and Commander of Lekhwiya extended a warm welcome to HRH the Saudi Minister of Interior and his accompanying delegation, commending the leaderships of both countries for their dedication to reinforcing bilateral relations across all sectors, particularly in the security domain.
The two ministers witnessed the signing of a cooperation agreement for the exchange of personal data and information for security purposes, along with a memorandum of understanding for collaboration in scientific, training, and research initiatives between the Ministries of Interior of both countries.
The agreement and memorandum of understanding were signed by Undersecretary of the Qatari Ministry of Interior HE Abdullah bin Khalaf bin Hattab Al-Kaabi, and Assistant Minister of Interior of Saudi Arabia HE Dr Hisham bin Abdulrahman Al-Falih.
