DOHA: Minister of Interior and Commander of the Internal Security Force (Lekhwiya) HE Sheikh Khalifa bin Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani met at Lekhwiya HQ on Thursday with Minister of Interior of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia HRH Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Nayef bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud and his accompanying delegation.
The Minister of Interior and Commander of Lekhwiya Force presented the Saudi Minister of Interior with a historic rifle dating back to 1900 AD. The rifle was owned by the late Sheikh Abdullah bin Jassim bin Mohammed Al Thani. This gesture was made in recognition of His Royal Highness's esteemed position and as a symbol of the deep mutual respect and brotherhood between the two nations.
The two ministers attended a field demonstration showcasing the capabilities of various units and departments of the Internal Security Force (Lekhwiya). The show was also attended by Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the State Qatar, HH Prince Mansour bin Khalid bin Abdullah Al Farhan Al-Saud; the delegation accompanying the Saudi Minister of Interior; and Ambassador of the State of Qatar to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, HE Bandar bin Mohammed Al Attiyah along with a lineup of senior officers from the Ministry of Interior and Lekhwiya Force.
