The Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MoCI), in cooperation with Porsche Centre Doha, Al Boraq Automobiles Co WLL, Qatar’s Porsche dealership, has announced the recall of Porsche Taycan models from 2020 to 2025. The recall addresses a malfunction in the installation of brake hoses on both sides of the front axle, which may cause material fatigue and potential brake hose failure. This defect could result in reduced braking effectiveness and a change in the brake pedal feel.
Additionally, the MoCI, in collaboration with Al-Attiya Motors and Trading Company, Qatar’s Kia dealership, has issued a recall for Kia Stinger models from 2017 to 2023. The recall is due to the misalignment of the fuel control valve plunger in the high-pressure fuel pump, which may lead to uneven wear. Over time, this wear could cause the plunger to remain stuck in an open condition.
The ministry said the recall campaign comes within the framework of its ongoing efforts to protect consumers and ensure that car dealers follow up on vehicle defects and repairs. (TNN)
