The Indian Community Benevolent Forum (ICBF) hosted a highly successful Career Development Workshop titled ‘Empower Your Journey to Success’, on September 5. Held at the ICBF Kanjani Hall, the workshop provided an invaluable opportunity for attendees to gain insights into career advancement, clear their doubts about career prospects, and explore new professional opportunities.

The event was spearheaded by Asha Priya Joseph, a renowned career development expert, who brought her wealth of experience and expertise to guide participants through their professional journeys. Her session, focusing on practical advice and strategic career planning, was highly anticipated, and she did not disappoint.

Joseph delivered a detailed and engaging presentation, covering topics such as resume building, interview techniques, personal branding, and how to stay competitive in an ever-changing job market.

Her talk was designed to resonate with a diverse audience, including fresh graduates, mid-career professionals, and job seekers. She shared specific strategies that could help attendees take control of their careers, offering tailored advice for those looking to switch fields, advance within their current roles, or seek employment after a hiatus.

The workshop attracted a large turnout, with the Kanjani Hall filled to capacity. The diverse audience reflected the strong demand for career development resources within the Indian community. Participants came with a wide range of questions, indicating the importance of career guidance and professional support in the current job landscape. The atmosphere was one of anticipation and active engagement, with participants taking notes and interacting with each other throughout the session.

Joseph’s dynamic approach kept the audience engaged as she explained practical tools for career success. Her emphasis on self-improvement and adaptability struck a chord with many participants, who are navigating a job market increasingly shaped by digital transformation and global competition.

Following Joseph’s presentation, the event concluded with an interactive Q&A session that proved to be one of the most valuable components of the evening. Job seekers, professionals considering career transitions, and even students preparing to enter the workforce posed a variety of questions. Joseph responded with thoughtful and encouraging advice, addressing concerns such as how to stand out in job applications, ways to gain relevant skills, and how to approach interviews with confidence.

One notable aspect of the Q&A session was the open and supportive environment it fostered. Participants who initially hesitated to ask questions soon found themselves engaging in the dialogue, inspired by the answers given to their peers. Joseph’s personalised responses helped attendees gain the clarity and motivation needed to take actionable steps toward their career goals.

The workshop was both informative and inspiring, offering much-needed guidance to the attendees. The ICBF’s commitment to supporting the professional growth of the Indian community in Qatar was evident in the quality of the event. By organizing this workshop, ICBF provided a platform for job seekers and professionals to explore career development strategies, network with peers, and clear doubts about their future.

As the session concluded, many participants left with renewed energy and a clearer vision for their professional path. The workshop served as a stepping stone for those looking to take their careers to the next level, embodying the mission of ICBF to empower the community through education and professional development.
