DOHA: Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defense Affairs HE Dr Khalid bin Mohammed Al Attiyah chaired the regular meeting of the Cabinet held on Wednesday at its headquarters in the Amiri Diwan.

Following the meeting, Minister of Justice and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs HEIbrahim bin Ali Al Mohannadi, stated the following:

At the beginning of the meeting, the Cabinet praised the National Health Strategy (2024-2030) 'Health for All', which was launched by Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs HESheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, which aims to improve the health and well-being of the population of Qatar, through excellence in providing services while achieving sustainability and efficiency through an integrated and flexible health system. This strategy represents the launch of a new phase in the journey to achieve Qatar National Vision 2030, and the Third National Development Strategy (2024-2030) in order to provide a long healthy life for the current and future generations.

The Cabinet also commended the launch of the National Cybersecurity Agency’s National Cybersecurity Strategy (2024-2030), under the patronage of the prime minister, which aims to contribute effectively to achieving Qatar National Vision 2030 and enhancing the State of Qatar’s position to be at the forefront of countries seeking to ensure the safe use of current and emerging technologies.

The Cabinet also reviewed the proposal of the Minister of Justice and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs regarding presenting some draft legislative tools on the (Sharek) platform of the Civil Service Bureau and Government Development.

This proposal comes within the framework of the Third National Development Strategy (2024-2030), and the directives ofthe Prime Minister, in cooperation with the National Planning Council and the Civil Service and Government Development Bureau, in a systematic step aimed at benefiting from the opinions of civil society institutions, experts and specialists in various circles in the process of preparing and evaluating legislation, in an effort to harmonize policies, enrich legislation and ensure its quality and integration, especially legislation and executive policies with economic and social impact related to the implementation of strategic targets.

A specialized working team will be assigned in the General Secretariat of the Cabinet to receive comments on the projects that are published, to evaluate them and benefit from them, in coordination with the relevant authorities.

The Cabinet decided to proceed with the implementation of this proposal according to the plans set.

The Council of Ministers then considered the topics on the agenda as follows:

First: Approval of a draft law regulating meteorological activities and services, and its referral to the Shura Council.

Second: Approval of the draft decree on the unified customs tariff.

Third: Approval of the draft decision of the Minister of Justice regarding the controls and procedures for electronic real estate registration.

The project is being prepared in implementation of the provisions of Law No. (5) of 2024 regulating real estate registration, and with the aim of enhancing digital transformation in terms of providing services that the Real Estate Registration Department specializes in using modern electronic means.

Fourth: Taking the necessary measures to ratify an agreement between the Government of the State of Qatar and the Government of the Republic of Slovenia on exemption from short-term visas for holders of diplomatic, service and special passports.

Fifth: Approval of:

1- Joining the Global Operational Network of Anti-Corruption Law Enforcement Authorities (GLOBE NETWORK).

2- Draft Memorandum of Understanding on conducting political consultations on issues of common interest between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the State of Qatar and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Iraq.

3- Draft Memorandum of Understanding for cooperation and joint news exchange between Qatar News Agency (QNA) and Iran’s Mehr News Agency (MEHR).

4- Draft Memorandum of Understanding for cooperation and joint news exchange between Qatar News Agency (QNA) and Turkmenistan News Agency (TDH).

5- Draft Memorandum of Understanding for cooperation and joint news exchange between the Qatar News Agency (QNA) and the Spanish News Agency (EFE).

Sixth - The Council of Ministers reviewed the following topics and took appropriate decisions regarding them:

1- The report of the Civil Service Bureau and Government Development on the stages of developing and launching the digital platform (Sharek).

2- Report on the results of the participation of the State of Qatar delegation headed by the Minister of Environment and Climate Change in the Green Development Forum of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization countries.

3- Report on the results of the participation of the delegation of the State of Qatar, headed by the Minister of Social Development and Family, in the Women, Peace and Security Forum.

4- Report on the results of the visit of the delegation of the State of Qatar, headed by the Minister of Social Development and Family, to the Kingdom of Sweden.
