OTTAWA: His Highness the Amir of the State of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani discussed with Prime Minister of Canada HE Justin Trudeau, ways to develop relations between the two countries in various fields, during a working breakfast banquet hosted by the prime minister at the Ministry of International Affairs in Ottawa on Wednesday.

During the banquet, views were exchanged on the overall regional and international situation, especially the latest developments in the Gaza Strip and the occupied Palestinian territories.

The banquet was attended by Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs HE Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, Chief of the Amiri Diwan HE Sheikh Saud bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, Head of the State Security Service HE Abdullah bin Mohammed Al Khulaifi, Minister of Commerce and Industry HE Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Qassim Al Thani, Minister of State for International Cooperation at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs HE Lolwah bint Rashid Al Khater, and several members of the official delegation accompanying HH the Amir.

The Canadian side was attended by Minister of Foreign Affairs HE Melanie Joly, Minister of Innovation, Science and Industry HE François-Philippe Champagne, Minister of International Development HE Ahmed Hussen, Minister of National Defence HE Bill Blair, Minister of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship HE Mark Miller, and some senior officials.
