Qatar Philharmonic Orchestra (QPO) is set to present ‘Russian Greats: Rachmaninoff and Tchaikovsky’ on September 22 at 7.30pm at the Opera House of the Cultural Village Foundation (Katara).

This evening promises a deep dive into the rich world of Russian Romanticism, featuring guest conductor Kamoliddin Urinbaev and pianist Fazliddin Husanov. The programme will open with Rachmaninoff’s beloved Piano Concerto No. 2, showcasing its lush melodies and emotional power. Soloist Fazliddin Husanov will take centre stage, demonstrating his exceptional command of this iconic work. The concert will conclude Tchaikovsky’s Symphony No. 6, 0’Pathétique’, a deeply personal and emotional piece that guides listeners from dramatic highs to the moving melancholic finale.
