Visa RB driver Daniel Ricciardo has played down talks of losing his Formula One seat after the Singapore Grand Prix this weekend, but admitted his future is uncertain.

Rumours have emerged that Ricciardo could be replaced by reserve driver Liam Lawson before the end of the 2024 season, but he stressed is focus is on finding a team for next year.

“I’m aware of some talk and speculation about the rest of the season, but that, for me, at the moment, I’m unaware of. So, the decision I expect is for next year,” he told the media ahead of Sunday’s race.

Asked on whether he expects to be on the grid in 2025, Ricciardo conceded: “Next year, I don’t know. I think I will definitely know in between this break and pre-Austin (United States GP), my other home race.

“I know how it is and how it works and I knew there was always going to be some dates and deadlines this year whether it was summer break or now post-Singapore. Honestly it’s still so many things are up in the air. Let’s see how the weekend goes.”

Ricciardo enjoyed some success during his time with Red Bull between 2014 and 2018, but has faced adversity since he left the world champions. This season, he’s also struggled and has been outscored by team-mate Yuki Tsuonda so far.
