NEW YORK: Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs HE Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani met with US Assistant Secretary of State for Near Eastern Affairs Barbara Leaf, on the sidelines of the 79th session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York.
During the meeting, the close strategic relations between Qatar and the United States of America were reviewed, as well as ways to support and enhance them.
The latest developments in the Gaza Strip and the occupied Palestinian territories, developments in joint mediation efforts to end the war on the Strip, and ways to reduce escalation in Lebanon were discussed.
