Omar Marmoush scored a brace and set up the other two as Eintracht Frankfurt won 4-2 at Holstein Kiel on Sunday to move within one point of Bundesliga leaders Bayern Munich who they host in a week’s time.

In the other game, Werder Bremen battled from 3-0 down after 12 minutes to a stunning 4-3 triumph at Hoffenheim with the help of a Jens Stage hat-trick after the hosts were reduced to 10 men.

Marmoush raised his tally to a league leading six goals when he opened the scoring in the 25th minute off a long solo run down the left and made it 3-2 in the 65th with a deflected shot after Kiel failed to clear decisively.

He also set up Igor Matanovic’s for 2-1 shortly after the restart and Tuta for the final score in the 74th to round off another strong showing.

“It is a lot of fun to play with the team and to help them with my goals and assists. We are happy with the three points,” Marmoush told streaming portal DAZN.

Promoted Kiel levelled twice from Shuto Machino, a 31st-minute penalty and a low shot after a goalmouth scramble in the 50th, but the wait for a maiden top flight win continues for the bottom side.

Bremen seemed to be heading for another big defeat at Hoffenheim after crashing 5-0 against Bayern last week when Marius Bülter netted a fifth and eighth minute brace and set up Adam Hlozek for the third in the 12th.

But it all started to unravel for the hosts six minutes later when Stanley Nsoki was set off for a last-man foul.

Bremen were level another 21 minutes on from Julian Malatini and the first two goals from Stage, who then completed his hat-trick in the with a 49th minute header. Bremen rose to 10th, Hoffenheim are third last.

“Despite the red card I can’t explain why we lost 4-3. We must not be so passive,” Bülter said.
