Qatar Chamber First Vice-Chairman Mohamed bin Twar Al Kuwari held a meeting with Cyprus Chamber of Commerce and Industry President Stavros Stavrou and his accompanying delegation on Monday. The meeting focused on enhancing bilateral relations between the chambers and strengthening economic and commercial ties between Qatar and Cyprus.

Key topics of discussion included fostering closer communication between Qatari and Cypriot businessmen to explore joint ventures and boost trade volume between the two nations. The possibility of signing a memorandum of understanding (MoU) between the two chambers to formalize cooperation was also reviewed.

Mohamed bin Twar praised the strong ties between Qatar and Cyprus and expressed Qatar Chamber’s commitment to further strengthening cooperation. He emphasised that while trade exchange between the two countries has improved, there is significant potential to expand it further.

He assured that Qatar Chamber is ready to assist and support Cypriot companies looking to invest in Qatar, and he encouraged Qatari business owners to explore investment opportunities in Cyprus across a variety of sectors.

In response, Stavros Stavrou highlighted the importance of the relationship between Qatar and Cyprus and noted the substantial development Qatar has experienced in recent years. He affirmed that the delegation’s visit aimed to deepen communication between the business communities of both nations, with a focus on establishing joint ventures in both Qatar and Cyprus.

The discussions mark a step forward in building stronger economic cooperation and exploring mutually beneficial investment opportunities between the two countries.
