DOHA: The National Cyber Security Agency (NCSA) announced the launch of the new version of the National Cyber Training Program today. This initiative represents the agency's commitment to fortifying government efforts in achieving the objectives of Qatar National Vision 2030, particularly focusing on the human, social, and economic pillars.

The National Cyber Training Program is designed to elevate the cyber capabilities of individuals by offering advanced enablement and training services for various entities in the State of Qatar. It consists of four distinct tracks, including Awareness Workshops, a Training Camp for new graduates, a Professionals Program, and a Leaders' Track.

In this context, Director of National Cyber Enablement and Excellence Affairs at the National Cyber Security Agency Khaled Al Hashemi stated that the program is a pivotal platform aimed at strengthening Qatar's stature in cybersecurity. It plays a vital role in safeguarding organizations and society while achieving internationally recognized benchmarks that elevate the country's profile both regionally and globally in the fields of cybersecurity and digital safety.

Al Hashemi added, "The new program utilizes advanced and modern cyber training and awareness tools. It is designed to engage a diverse range of societal segments, including employees of various government agencies, fresh university graduates, information technology professionals, cybersecurity professionals, as well as managers and leaders across different state organizations".

The first track features awareness workshops tailored for all state employees, consisting of intensive 4-hour sessions conducted by expert trainers. These workshops cover essential information related to cybersecurity, its mechanisms, the latest threats, and best practices within the field.

The second track offers a comprehensive training camp for new graduates in cybersecurity, information systems, computer engineering, and programming, equipping them with practical knowledge to navigate the real-world challenges they may encounter in their careers. This track is designed to nurture a new generation of experts specializing in cybersecurity, equipping them with the skills necessary to thrive in this critical domain.

The third track is a professional program tailored for individuals already working in the information technology sector, structured into several key phases. The initial phase focuses on enhancing foundational skills in cybersecurity while imparting critical concepts related to cybernetwork security. The subsequent phase aims to equip professionals with the essential skills and competencies needed to become effective cybersecurity specialists within their organizations. The third phase, known as the Cyber Elite, emphasizes supporting professionals in leveraging their career paths in cybersecurity. Additionally, the fourth phase features specialized workshops tailored to the specific needs of managers and officials across various sectors.

The fourth track targets cybersecurity managers, equipping them with essential guidance, processes, and procedures to effectively lead their teams toward achieving their objectives. This track also addresses global cybersecurity frameworks, emerging technologies, cybersecurity incidents, and human resource management.

The National Cyber Security Agency is dedicated to enhancing cybersecurity indicators across national organizations and various segments of society. This commitment is the driving force behind the launch of the National Cyber Training Program, which aims to elevate the cybersecurity culture among employees and protect organizations from cyber risks.
