Abdallah Sima scored a brace as Champions League debutants Stade Brest made it two wins from two with an emphatic 4-0 triumph at Red Bull Salzburg while VfB Stuttgart were held 1-1 by Sparta Prague on Tuesday.

Brest had opened 2-1 over Sturm Graz and were also too strong for their next Austrian opponents who had an early goal from Samson Baidoo nullified for offside.

Brest snatched a 24th lead against the flow of play from Sima. Three goals within nine minutes midway through the second half ended the match as a contest, with Mahdi Camara on target in the 66th, Sima again in the 70th and substitute Mathias Pereira Lage in the 75th.

While Brest have maximum points, Salzburg are on zero and 0-7 goals.

They lost their opener 3-0 at Sparta who were also dangerous in Stuttgart, who for their part had started with a 3-1 defeat at title holders Real Madrid.

The German hosts had a dream start into their first Champions League home game since February 2010 when Enzo Millot headed them 1-0 up after seven minutes. But Prague were level in the 32nd from Kaan Kairinen’s curling free-kick into the top right corner.

Martin Vitik headed against the post, Veljko Birmancevic against the crossbar, and Stuttgart goalkeeper Alexander Nübel denied another Birmancevic attempt after the restart before the Czechs withstood some final Stuttgart attacks.

The seven late kick-offs include Arsenal v Paris Saint-Germain, Bayer Leverkusen v AC Milan, Slovan Bratislava v Manchester City and Barcelona v Young Boys.
