DOHA: The National Traffic Safety Committee at the Ministry of Interior (MoI) has honoured the students who won the Traffic Safety Research Awards as part of the activities of the "16th National Week for Academic Research and Innovation," held from September 29 to October 3 at the Qatar National Convention Centre.

The awards ceremony was attended by Brigadier Dr Mohammed Radi Al Hajri, Secretary and member of the National Traffic Safety Committee.

This year, six research projects were awarded across the three educational levels. The winning research addressed issues such as traffic congestion around schools and proposed solutions, encouraging the use of school buses, speeding problems and their consequences, mechanisms for tracking traffic violations, as well as reckless behaviour of drivers, passengers, and road users.
