The Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MoCI), in cooperation with Mannai Trading Company WLL, Qatar’s GMC dealership, has announced the recall of GMC Acadia, 2014-2016 models, due to a potential defect in the driver’s side front airbag, which could cause the airbag to rupture during deployment.
Additionally, the MoCI, in cooperation with Al Fardan Automobiles, Qatar’s BMW dealership, has recalled BMW X1 sDrive 20i, 428i, 528i, X4 xDrive, X3 sDrive, 228i, 328i, and Z4 sDrive, 2011-2016 models. The recall is prompted by a possible leak in the plug connection of the electric water pump, which may result in overheating.
Furthermore, the MoCI, in cooperation with Q Auto, Qatar’s Volkswagen dealership, has announced the recall of Volkswagen Passat, Jetta, Golf, Polo, CC, and Eos, 2006-2013 models. The recall addresses a defect where the front airbag propellant may deteriorate due to humidity, potentially causing the gas generator housing to burst, posing a risk to occupants.(TNN)
