UN Special Rapporteur on the situation of human rights in Palestine Francesca Albanese (pictured) has said that Israel’s occupation is aimed at eliminating the Palestinian people through violence and killings. She described the situation in Palestine as beyond description, calling it more than genocide. Albanese urged UN member states to take responsibility for protecting Palestinians and to stop the genocide being committed against them. She warned of the worsening situation if the international community fails to act.Albanese emphasised the importance of holding countries accountable to international law and enforcing its decisions to stop genocide against any people worldwide.
