Amalgam 2024, a vibrant and dynamic two-day event organised by Birla Public School (BPS) on October 3 and 4, brought together a fusion of ideas from the school’s departments of Social Science, Science and Technology, Commerce, Humanities and Languages.

The event was inaugurated by chief guest Gope Shahani, chairman of BPS, and was attended by the Board of Directors, including Dr Mohan Thomas, C V Rappai, Lukose K Chacko, Chindhu Antony Rappai, Siddharth Shahani, and special guest Sujith Raphael.

BPS Principal Anand R Nair praised the hard work of the 1,500 students from Grades V to XII, whose exhibits were showcased in 80 rooms featuring grand displays in the school auditorium.

The senior leadership team, along with Vice Principals Radhika Rele and Edna Fernandez, the heads of Departments, and the teachers, played a key role in coordinating the students’ efforts, highlighting the school’s commitment to experiential learning.

Amalgam 2024 was a celebration of knowledge, curiosity, and innovation, featuring a wide variety of impressive student-led projects, including the Birla Planetarium, the award-winning Automated Geodesic Greenhouse (GRASS), the Bard’s Theatre, Malgudi Moments, the Stock Market Simulator, and Chronicles of Time. It also explored India’s rich heritage alongside Qatar’s modern marvels, celestial rhythms, and cultural diversity.

The Expo was well received by parents, with one parent commenting, “BPS ongoing Expo ‘Amalgam’ is worth visiting. Amazing ideas, creativity, and perfect execution by students and teachers. Very interactive and engaging.”

As Amalgam 2024 concludes, it leaves a lasting impact on the school community, exemplifying BPS’ dedication to fostering creativity, innovation, and collaborative learning.
