Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs HE Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani has witnessed a special event hosted by Qatar Tourism to showcase the tourism roadmap in the next phase.

The event held on Monday was attended by ministers, ambassadors and prominent figures, along with a group of key partners and officials in Qatar’s tourism industry.

The event aimed to emphasise the significance of tourism as a key pillar of Qatar National Vision 2030, which aims to diversify the national economy and support the country’s sustainable development efforts.

During the event, Qatar Tourism’s main marketing and promotion arm, Visit Qatar, showcased its ‘Surprise Yourself’ campaign, which has been launched in 10 international markets.

Additionally, a new version of the ongoing ‘Stopover in Qatar’ campaign,set to be launched in mid-October, was announced,

The Stopover in Qatar campaign aims to spotlight some of Qatar’s most iconic locations and remarkable experiences that can be enjoyed in just 24 hours.

The Surprise Yourself campaign targets families, couples, and groups of friends, inviting them to discover unexpected ways to connect and create lasting memories.

At the event, Chairman of Qatar Tourism and Chair of the Board of Visit Qatar Saad Bin Ali Al Kharji emphasised the tourism sector as a pivotal component in the country’s efforts towards economic diversification, which is crucial for driving sustainable economic growth.

Al Kharji said that Qatar Tourism adopts a modern vision and a comprehensive strategy aimed at enhancing the competitive capabilities of the tourism sector.
