The Arabian Gulf Cup Football Federation (AGCFF) and Zain Group, a mobile telecommunications group in the Middle East and Africa, announced the renewal of the sponsorship contract for the Arabian Gulf Cup Championship under which the Zain Group will become the official sponsor. The two parties agreed to renew the sponsorship through commercial agency (IMG) for AGCFF.

Under this agreement, the tournament will be called “Gulf Zain 26” in the 26th edition of the Arabian Gulf Cup, which will be held in Kuwait from December 21, 2024 to January 3, 2025.

According to the renewal of the sponsorship contract, Zain’s brand will appear in everything related to the tournament, including stadium advertisements, TV advertisements, and outdoor advertisements as well. It will also be present in the media and digital coverage of the Federation’s accounts on various social media sites, and will also be present in multiple fan zones throughout the tournament.

Zain Group Vice Chairman and CEO Bader Nasser Al Kharafi said: “We are very happy with this partnership with the Arabian Gulf Cup Football Federation and IMG to make the “Gulf Cup Zain 26” competitions a success. This football celebration is always awaited by all football fans in the Gulf countries.”

Al Kharafi explained, saying: “We at Zain look forward to contributing effectively to the success of the tournament’s competitions and presenting it in a manner befitting the status of Kuwait under the wise leadership of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al Ahmad Al Jaber Al Sabah, may God protect and preserve him, and His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al Hamad Al Sabah, may God protect and preserve him.”

Al Kharafi continued, saying: “Zain’s participation in this tournament confirms its continuous support for the sports movement, whether at the local or regional level. The group has a clear and announced strategy towards achieving its goals in sustainability and social responsibility, which enhances its regional position as a comprehensive digital communications provider.”

The partnership between AGCFF and IMG extends until 2031, as IMG has succeeded in securing many prominent commercial partners to sponsor the tournament, such as Toyota and Mitsubishi.
