A fine all-round performance from Team India, particularly Nitish Kumar Reddy, helped the Men in Blue secure an 86-run win over Bangladesh in the second T20I at the Arun Jaitley Stadium on Wednesday. India won the three-game series 2-0.

During the run chase of 222 runs, Bangladesh openers Parvez Hossain Emon and Litton Das started off with some attacking shots. Emon hit three fours to start off the innings.

However, Arshdeep Singh got some payback for these boundaries by cleaning up Emon for 16 in 12 ballsin the third over.

Litton continued his hitting unfazed, with skipper Najmul Hossain Shanto.

Indian spinners started to dominate, with Varun Chakravarthy getting Litton for 14 and Abhishek Sharma getting Towhid Hridoy (2). Bangladesh were 46/4 in 6.5 overs.

Bangladesh ended their innings at 135-9 in their 20 overs. Varun (2/19) and Nitish (2/23) were top bowlers for India. Sundar, Arsdheep, Mayank, Riyan and Abhishek got a scalp each.

Earlier, blistering half-centuries from Nitish Kumar Reddy and Rinku Singh helped India post 221/9 in their 20 overs.

After being reduced to 41/3, Rinku and Nitish put together a 108-run partnership, with Hardik Pandya providing a crucial cameo to push India to a formidable total.

Bangladesh won the toss and opted to bowl first. Taskin Ahmed and Tanzim Hasan Sakib struck early, removing both India openers cheaply.

Skipper Suryakumar Yadav attempted to build a partnership with Nitish Kumar Reddy, but Mustafizur Rahman dismissed him with Shanto taking a fine catch. India were 41-3 in 5.3 overs. By the 10th over, India reached 101-3, with Rinku on 27* and Nitish on 36*.

Nitish and Rinku continued their onslaught. The 13th over from Miraz went for 26 runs, with Nitish hitting three sixes and a four, bringing up his maiden T20I fifty in 27 balls. Their 100-run partnership came up in just 45 balls.
