DOHA: The Ministry of Education and Higher Education concluded the activities of the tenth edition of the National Robotics Olympiad (NRO), and crowned the participating student teams from public and private schools.

Assistant Undersecretary for Educational Affairs Maha Al Ruwaili, along with Director of the Educational Guidance Department Maryam Noman Al Emadi honored 34 teams of school students who demonstrated their capabilities in designing and programming sustainable educational robots.

In a speech on the occasion, Maryam Noman Al Emadi pointed out the quality of innovative and sustainable scientific ideas and projects, stressing that the current version of NRO witnessed the participation of more than 450 students (150 teams), representing over 100 public and private schools, in addition to the participation of more than 70 judges within the judging committees of the various championship competitions.

Upon the conclusion of the event, the school teams that won the first three places in the competition categories for the various educational stages were announced, and the golden robot was handed over to the Qatar Science and Technology Secondary School for Boys (QSTSS) team for their participation in the "Engineers of the Future" competition.

The MoEHE pays great attention to this championship, as it is in line with Qatar National Vision 2030, and aims to develop higher thinking skills among students, in addition to science, technology, engineering, mathematics, artificial intelligence and scientific research skills, and to enhance teamwork through its various competitions.
