Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs HE Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani has met with Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran HE Abbas Araghchi, who is visiting the country.

During the meeting, the two sides reviewed relations between the two countries and ways to support and enhance them. They

discussed the latest developments in the region, especially in the Gaza Strip and Lebanon, in

addition to several topics of mutual interest.

The Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs stressed the need for concerted regional and international efforts to reduce escalation and avoid the expansion of the circle of violence in the region, affirming Qatar’s full readiness to do everything possible to enhance regional and internationalsecurity and stability.

The Iranian foreign minister later in a post on his X account said he had had an important meeting with the Qatari prime minister on the regional situation.

Iran and Qatar share common concerns and interests, and are determined to cooperate, he said, adding "Our region faces trying challenges. [they] need to be addressed through close consultations and joint efforts.” (QNA)
