A felicitation ceremony for Grade X and Grade XII students of the 2023-2024 batch of Olive International School (OIS) was held on October 10 on the Al Thumama campus of the school. The event celebrated the exceptional academic achievements of the OIS students.
The ceremony had the presence of distinguished guests including Second Secretary to Education, Culture, and Media at the Embassy of India in Qatar, Bindu N Nair as the chief guest; Islamic Education Supervisor, Private Schools and Kindergarten Department, Ministry of Education, Qatar as the guest of honour; and Academic Director of Olive International School, Biju John.
The evening began with a prayer, followed by a welcome address by the Headmistress of Al Thumama campus Priya Viju.
The principal, the guest of honour and the chief guest delivered inspiring addresses, highlighting the significance of perseverance, hard work, and the strength of community in achieving success. The students who scored the highest marks and the subject toppers were honoured for their exceptional efforts. The teachers whose students achieved cent percent marks were recognized for their contributions.
Students Riza Rahman, Tessa Tom, Samaira Imran Khan, and Kumaran Dineshkumar shared their experiences, inspiring others with their hard work and dedication. In addition to the awards, the evening featured vibrant cultural performances, including a beautiful song performed by the choir, setting a heartfelt tone for the ceremony and a captivating dance performance by Grade 10 students from Al Thumama. Besides showcasing the performers’ talent they added a joyful spirit to the ceremony.
The evening wrapped up with a heartfelt vote of thanks from Headmistress of Umm Salal Ali campus Roopinder Kaur.
Following the formal proceedings, refreshments were served to students and parents, providing a fitting end to a memorable celebration of academic excellence.
