DOHA: Chairman of Qatar Media Corporation HE Sheikh Hamad bin Thamer Al Thani has met with Minister of Information of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia HE Salman bin Yousef Al Dosari to discuss ways to enhance media cooperation between the two countries.
During the meeting, the two sides reviewed the role and responsibility of various media outlets in their countries to adopt national media content that highlights the long-standing ties and relations between the two countries, and at the same time translates the ties of brotherhood and common culture between the two fraternal societies, which have today become a model to be emulated.
During the meeting, Sheikh Hamadstressed the importance of coordinating efforts and effective partnership between the Qatari and Saudi media in various media sectors to achieve common media aspirations and goals.
He explained that the visit of the Saudi Minister of Information to Doha will open new horizons through close cooperation and strategic partnerships between the Qatar Media Corporation and the Ministry of Information in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in various media sectors.
He praised the strong and deep-rooted fraternal ties and relations between the State of Qatar and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, leadership and people.
In turn, Al-Dosari confirmed that media relations between Saudi Arabia and Qatar have reached their best levels, stressing the need to strengthen these relations on the ground.
The Saudi Minister of Information pointed out that there is fruitful and continuous cooperation between the Qatar Media Corporation and the Saudi Ministry of Information, expressing his aspiration to expand the horizons of cooperation to broader levels, and to present a number of media initiatives that reflect the level of distinguished ties and relations between the two countries.
At the end of the meeting, the executive framework agreement for cooperation and news exchange between the Qatar News Agency and the Saudi Press Agency was signed, with the aim of enhancing the paths of bilateral cooperation, coordination and close partnerships between the two countries.
The agreement was signed on the Qatari side by Director General of the Qatar News Agency Ahmed bin Saeed Al Rumaihi,and on the Saudi side by Chairman of the Saudi Press AgencyAli Al-Zaid.
