LondoncTypeface:> Barcelona have confirmed Lamine Yamal sustained a hamstring strain in Spain’s Nations League win against Denmark at the weekend and is set for a spell on the sidelines. The 17-year-old was released from his national team’s squad after appearing to be in some discomfort at the end of Spain’s 1-0 win against Denmark on Saturday. Barcelona said on their official website that tests carried out by the club had revealed Yamal had a minor muscle injury. The club said: "Tests conducted (on Monday) morning have confirmed that Lamine Yamal has strained his left hamstring and will be out of action until he has fully recovered. "He was able to play all 91 minutes of the game with Denmark at the Estadio Nueva Condomina in Murcua, but felt something was wrong as he left the pitch.” Yamal will miss Spain’s Nations League game against Serbia in Cordoba on Tuesday. The teenager has cemented his place in Barca’s starting line-up under head coach Hansi Flick this season, featuring in all 11 games in all competitions and scoring five goals.(dpa)
