Secretary-General of the Shura Council HE Nayef bin Mohammed Al Mahmoud praised the speech of the Amir HH Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani before the Shura Council on Tuesday, stressing that HH the Amir’s address presented directives and an insightful vision that enhance the path of national action and lay clear foundations for the next stage across all sectors.
In a statement to QNA, HE Al Mahmoud commended HH the Amir’s continued support for the Shura Council and for strengthening its role as a legislative authority that contributes to formulating and developing laws in accordance with the provisions of the Constitution. He emphasised the Council’s commitment to maintaining its pioneering role based on its constitutional powers.
HE Al Mahmoud noted the fruitful cooperation between the Council and the government in implementing policies that enhance citizens’ welfare and achieve the national interest. He stressed the General Secretariat’s commitment to providing the necessary support to the Shura Council to help achieve its goals and continue developing its legislative and oversight work.(QNA)
