Amir’s speech sets direction for upcoming period: QBA chairman

Chairman of the Qatari Businessmen Association (QBA) HE Sheikh Faisal bin Qassim Al Thani has praised the speech of the Amir His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani at the opening of the Shura Council’s 53rd annual session, describing it as a guiding compass that sets the path for the upcoming period, enhancing the economic and social well-being of the country. He commended HH the Amir for issuing a directive to target a growth rate of no less than 10 percent annually of the in-country value in government procurement, thus, making the private sector responsible for achieving the goals of the Third National Development Strategy, which will in turn increase productivity and contribute to overall economic growth.(QNA)

SJC President: Amir’s speech reinforces state’s vision to achieve progress

President of the Supreme Judiciary Council (SJC) and President of the Court of Cassation Dr Hassan bin Lahdan Al Mohannadi has praised the speech of the Amir His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani during the opening of the 53rd annual session of the Shura Council, stressing that it was comprehensive and reinforced the state’s vision to achieve further progress and development in all fields. He said the SJC fully supports the draft constitutional amendments and affirms its commitment to implementing these amendments that achieve justice for all, adding that the SJC is certain that these amendments will enhance Qatar’s position as a country that seeks to achieve a balance between the aspirations of the people and commitment to constitutional principles, which form the basis of the strength and unity of Qatari society, and are consistent with the nature of Qatari society. Amir’s speech covers Qatar’s vision towards local, international Issues, says NHRC chairperson

Chairperson of the National Human Rights Committee (NHRC) HE Maryam bint Abdullah Al Attiyah has affirmed that the speech of the Amir His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani at the opening of the fourth ordinary session of the first legislative term covered many aspects that show Qatar’s vision towards local, regional and international issues. She pointed out that HH the Amir’s speech addressing the Palestinian cause comes from his belief in its centrality at the regional level, and the importance of achieving peace for the Palestinian people who have suffered from occupation for decades, and are undergoing a devastating war targeting civilians for more than a year, which left tens of thousands of martyrs and wounded, in addition to the deteriorated infrastructure and difficult humanitarian conditions with great dangers to the Palestinian people, which Qatar and its wise leadership is aware of and has warned against in various forums.
