In a significant move to enhance customer convenience, Qatar International Islamic Bank (QIIB) has launched a new service that allows customers to reschedule their personal finances directly through its mobile banking app.

This is the first service of its kind in Qatar’s banking sector, reflecting the bank’s commitment to digital transformation and offering more flexible financial solutions to its customers.

With this new service, QIIB customers can instantly reschedule their personal finance arrangements via the app, including adjusting loan terms or installment amounts.

The feature empowers users to tailor payment plans to suit their personal financial preferences and goals, offering a highly customisable and convenient solution. Customers can modify their finance settings at any time without the need to visit a branch, making financial management smoother and more accessible.

Commenting on the launch, QIIB Head of Business Development Khaled Al Shaibei expressed his pride in being the first bank in Qatar to introduce this feature. "We are expanding our customers’ choices through the digital transformation strategy that we are applying. This new service aligns with our goal of providing a seamless, personalised, and secure banking experience,” he said.

The service is designed to provide immediate execution through an automated process, ensuring that customers experience no delays in modifying their finance arrangements. This enhances not only the speed but also the convenience of managing personal loans, eliminating the need for paperwork or long processing times.

As part of QIIB’s broader strategy, this service aligns with the Qatar Central Bank’s Third Financial Sector Strategy, which emphasises the importance of digital innovation in banking. The new service underlines QIIB’s commitment to driving digital transformation, improving customer experience, and offering secure, flexible solutions.
