Various parts of the country received light to moderate rain on Saturday, with showers at times accompanying thunder.
The Department of Meteorology warned of thundery rain, strong winds and high seas, in its evening weather forecast as well.
The Public Works Authority (Ashghal)in a social media post said its teams were continuing to monitor the rainwater drainage networks and highways around the clock, while coordinating with the teams distributed in various areas in light of the weather situation in Qatar.
Both Ashghal and the Ministry of Municipality (Baladiya) shared their helpline numbers in social media posts for people to report any possible power outages and waterlogging following rain. Ashghal’s call centre number is 188 while Baladiya’s is 184.
There is no rain forecast for Sunday.
