The Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MoCI), in cooperation with Nasser Bin Khaled and Sons Automobiles, Qatar’s Mercedes dealership, has announced the recall of the 2024 Mercedes G-Class model. The recall is due to a potential issue where the outer frame of both windshield pillars may not be installed correctly, which could result in detachment.
The MoCI, in cooperation with Al Fardan Automobiles, Qatar’s BMW dealership, has also recalled the 2024 BMW M5 Saloon, M760Li Saloon and i5 eDrive models. The recall is due to a potential defect in the vehicle’s double joint steering system, which may cause unusual noise and require increased steering force while driving.
Besides, the ministry, in cooperation with Jaidah Motors & Trading Co, Qatar’s Chevrolet dealership, has recalled 2023-2024 Chevrolet Tahoe, Suburban and Silverado models. The recall addresses a potential malfunction in the electronic brake control module software, which may fail to activate the warning light indicating low brake fluid levels. As a result, drivers may not be aware of a brake fluid issue, potentially affecting braking performance.
The MoCI also recalled, in cooperation with Mannai Trading Company WLL, Qatar’s GMC and Cadillac dealership, 2023-2024 GMC Yukon, Sierra and Cadillac Escalade models. The recall is due to a potential malfunction in the brake fluid level indicator, which may fail to function properly in the event of a brake fluid leak, rendering the indicator ineffective and potentially impacting vehicle safety.
