After its successful operation since its inception in 1973, Brighto Paints is planning to expand business and reach new horizons, said its Chairman, Khawaja Ejaz Ahmed Sikka, at a reception hosted in his honour by Unique Trading Company in Doha recently.

"Our company was founded by my late father (Khawaja Riaz Ahmed Sikka) in 1973 and since its inception we have never approached any bank for loans. Brighto Paints, once a small-scale business, has now established itself as a respectable brand both nationally and internationally,” remarked Sikka, during his maiden visit to Qatar.

"We are among the top 10 paint manufacturers of Pakistan. We are top in the decorative paints while we rank second in the industrial paints. We have a very strong R&D division responsible for delivering advancements in different varieties of paints. We wish to make a mark as one of the best paint manufacturing companies in Pakistan and the world,” he added.

Brighto Paints is Pakistan’s first multinational paint manufacturing company headquartered in Lahore, Pakistan and its products include decorative paints, industrial finishes, and powder coatings. The company operates cutting-edge manufacturing plants in Pakistan.

Regarding the company’s project in the near future, Sikka said the company’s focus is currently on building a new factory in Kabul. "With this, the company’s target is the Saudi Arabian market, which is the largest market in the region. Brighto Paints set up manufacturing unit in Ras Al Khaima, UAE in 2011. The company is currently working with 20 African countries.”

Sikka said he has travelled to many countries but the support of Pakistani business fraternity, especially in Qatar, is highly commendable. He praised Unique Trading Company’s management and the dedicated team members for promoting Brighto Paints in the Qatari market.

"I am extremely amazed to witness the world-class infrastructure of Qatar. I own a house in Ras Al Khaima, UAE and if I ever think of having another house abroad it will be definitely be in Qatar,” said Sikka.

Sikka advised community members to set up businesses in their motherland even on a small scale. "The future of Pakistan is very bright and things will significantly improve in next five years. The day is not far when the country will be counted among the developed nations,” asserted Sikka.
