DOHA: The Police Academy's Women's Police Institute has celebrated the graduation of two INTERPOL senior leadership programs.

The INTERPOL Senior Leadership Courses of Women in Law Enforcement and Trainer Development are organized in cooperation with the Ministry of Interior's Arab and International Police Communications Department and the Interpol Global Academy Network.

In attendance were Legal Advisor to the Minister of Interior and General Supervisor of the Police Academy, Major-General Dr Abdullah Yousef Al Mal, and deputy director of the Police Academy and director of the Police College Lt Col Fahd Saeed Al Subaie.

The courses brought together 18 female police officers of various military ranks up to the rank of Brigadier from the State of Qatar and seven Arab countries.

The programs aimed to enhance the skills of the participants in important topics in modern leadership and management and the Interpol system and its rules.

Director of INTERPOL Capacity Building and Training Jorge Fainstein Gastrell, stressed the importance of holding these courses, which demonstrate the great cooperation and concerted efforts to achieve the desired goals, noting that these courses are an important step towards enhancing the professional competence of the participants, especially in the field of empowering women in law enforcement.
