The Ministry of Labour (MoL), represented by its Departments of Qualifying and Skills Development and National Workforce Employment, took part in the second edition of the career fair organised by Lusail University on October 23 and 24. This event served as a dynamic platform connecting students and graduates with representatives from public and private sector companies, offering them opportunities for employment and career development.

The ministry’s participation is aligned with its ongoing efforts to prepare and qualify the national workforce for the private sector labour market, in accordance with Qatar’s Third National Development Strategy 2024-2030. This strategy aims to empower Qatari nationals and children of Qatari women, enabling them to become competitive contributors in the labour market. The objective is to develop national competencies in the private sector, driving major transformations toward a more productive and efficient workforce across various economic sectors, while also attracting skilled expatriate labour.

By participating in the fair, the ministry aims to build on the success of the previous edition, strengthening the connection between the academic sector and labour market demands.

The initiative highlights available job opportunities to students and graduates, encourages them to take advantage of academic support and summer training offered by the ministry, and equips them with the necessary skills to thrive in the private sector.
